When asked about cables, housings, and liners I don’t really have much of an opinion.  I find that even the most generic of cables these days work quite well.  Of course if you’re specifically looking for weight savings, smoothness, and or feel you can always do your own research into what’s best. 

If you didn’t know this already, if you have a newer shifting system with 9 speeds or more in the back you’re going to need shifter specific housings.  The metal sleeves are aligned parallel with the cable in order to reduce any compression when its loaded.  this keeps the shifting crisp and predictable.  I had been using the plain housings before this swap and the shifting acts up under rough conditions.
